Argentinian singer-songwriter Lucia Tacchetti has taken a full musical turn in her latest LP VOL.3D, ditching her acoustic guitar for an array of synths and laptops. Her music is oftentimes approached from a space of minimalism. Simple electro-rhythms are paired with bright Casio melodies, yielding a soft pop space that feels unique especially coming from a Latin folk/rock world. Tacchetti’s songwriting chops translate even better in this new format, turning contemplative moments into ones of musical excitement, albeit gently performed. Tacchetti is able to add a little bounce in the texture of each note as a perfect compliment to her unique and airy vocal tone.
